Preservation and restoration of existing structures is our aim whenever possible. We are available for conducting maintenance and repair of your wood windows and related structures.

Isn't it easier to just replace my old wooden windows with new ones?

Often, no. Wooden windows in historic homes may have suffered deferred maintenance or neglect. Every component of a traditional window is meant to be repairable or replaceable. What are the signs that my wooden windows need repair?

Can you paint my windows?

Yes! We look forward to being your partner for minor touch up or the full restoration of your wooden windows.

Will you use my latex paint?

In most cases, no. We endeavor to use materials and methods that are time-tested and true to the original methods used in historic construction. We have a strong preference for linseed oil based products. They have stood the test of time.

Can you repair glazing?

Yes! Period correct glazing can be maintained and repaired. We look forward to hearing from you. Contemporary products available to consumers at home centers are inappropriate for use on wooden windows and cause future maintenance issues.

Can you replace sash cord?

Yes! We are available to replace broken, missing, or painted sash cord.

Parts of my wood window are broken or rotten. Can you help?

My historic home never had storm windows. Do I even need them?

It likely had them in the past. A well-fitted storm window adds insulating properties to single pane wooden windows. It protects wooden windows, glaze, and paint from the elements. It also helps in reducing condensation on the interior facing side of single pane windows.

Can you build storm windows or storm sash?

Yes, we look forward in creating your new period-correct storm windows.
